I do not write for financial income, and I don’t really even have any aspirations of making my financial living as a writer. That being said, I like to think that the things I write about are important and/or interesting, and I would like to build the audience that I am writing for.

All of these Dispatches are free to everybody to read and share. If I do receive any financial benefit from my writing, it will enable two things: 1) On the most practical level, it will enable me to work less overtime on my day job, and spend more time improving the quality and increasing the quantity of my work; 2) I thrive on encouragement, so it will also motivate me to produce more and better work for my growing audience.
Accordingly, I have turned on paid subscriptions, but I will not be producing “paid subscriber only” content; if you are unable or unwilling to pay for a paid subscription, you are most welcome to remain and participate as a free subscriber.
